DJ Khaled's canceled performance at the 2018 Wireless Festival in London, England on Sunday (July 8) appeared to be a last-minute schedule change, but event organizers now reveal they knew months ago he wouldn't be able to perform.

On Sunday, organizers for the festival claimed Khaled wasn't able to perform due to a scheduling conflict related to the filming of Fox's The Four but added that they knew of the issue a few months ago.

"Due to a scheduling conflict related to filming of the The Four, DJ Khaled was not able to commit to perform at Wireless Festival," the tweet reads. "Although we have known for a few months and tried to make it work, it wasn’t possible."

To make matters worse, on July 7 and July 8, Khaled was tweeting photos of himself and his family on vacation. "Still on vacation!!!!!!!! In this pic me and my son discussing release date for new anthem," he tweeted one day before his scheduled performance.

Facing a backlash from festivalgoers, Wireless Fest sent out another tweet, taking full responsibility for the late announcement. "We take responsibility for not telling fans sooner and want all Khaled’s fans in UK to know he truly looks forward to coming to UK to perform soon," the second tweet states.

Khaled's canceled headliner set wasn't a complete waste, as the producer was replaced by his "For Free" collaborator, Drake, but some fans still weren't happy about what they claim was a short performance from Drizzy.

According to some attendees, the Toronto MC performed a shortened version of a headline set, with some claiming the Scorpion artist was only on stage for 20 minutes. While Drake may have performed a short set, the rapper did treat the crowd to "In My Feelings," "Mob Ties," "God's Plan" and more.
