Danny Brown is back with a new single and video for "When It Rain." The pulsating new track comes too with word that Danny has joined the Warp Records family.

"With the blessing of my Fools Gold family by my side, I'm excited to be working with Warp on new material. They're music fans to the same high degree I am and I'm looking forward to breaking some rules together," Danny said in a released statement.

The above video is directed by Mimi Cave, and is a kaleidoscope of low-def imagery, VHS footage and the modern urban surrealism of Danny's hometown of Detroit. The track was produced by Paul White. Listen and watch up top.

DB hasn't released an album since 2013's Old, but Fools Gold bossman Nick Catchdubs says that his new album is done and the rapper has gone a different route. "He’s gone in a direction that suits him. I think that when he feels like it’s time to unleash this shit, people are gonna be excited. That’s the best place you can be in…You need to be true to yourself and you need to say, this is my voice, this is the way I want to get my shit out there, you’re operating on your own timeline. I find that very, very respectable.”

Alchemist meanwhile called it fire five times over. As the song lyrics suggest, when it rains, when it pours, get your ass on the floor.
