Consequence Delivers a Freestyle Over MC Lyte’s “Paper Thin”
Don't ever doubt Consequence's rapping skills. The hip-hop vet is the latest spitta to jump on NYC Hot 97's DJ Enuff and LA Power 106's J Cruz's freestyle series "Where Hip Hop Lives." Con drops 52 bars over MC Lyte's classic "Paper Thin." It's incredible to listen to. He even snuck in a witty Donal Trump, Donald Glover reference.
"Only Ronald did worth by more brothers/So the only Donald we acknowledge is Glover/Only McDonalds had more beef for more summers/Yeah I been in these streets since I was younger," he spits.
Most recently, Con has been dropping little gems here and there. He added a verse to Alex Wiley’s popular track “Spaceship II," which was originally released in 2013 and featured Chance the Rapper, GLC and Chuck Inglish. He also teamed up with Royce 5’9″ for a track titled “All Black Neighborhood.”
You can see Consequence performing with A Tribe Called Quest at Outlands in San Francisco tonight (Aug. 11). Listen to the freestyle below.
