Common has always had a love for the basketball and has been involved with the game throughout his career. The Chicago MC has played in numerous celebrity basketball games, played a basketball player in the movie Just Wright, and, most recently, teamed up with the NBA for its "Roll Call" ad campaign. While on The Queen Latifah show recently, Common explained that his love for hoops started at an early age when he was a ball boy for the Chicago Bulls.

"I was a ball boy for the Bulls when I was 11 or 12-years-old," says Common. "Right when Michael Jordan first came. He gave me a pair of gym shoes that he signed. I gave them to my father and he was holding on to them like they were his precious gift. And one day, he wore them to a show he had and I was like, 'Dad, don't be wearing these. These are classic, man! What are you doin?!'"

Common also briefly spoke on his upcoming film, Selma so be on the lookout for that soon!
