Cardi B is a walking viral moment waiting to happen. It’s the reason she was a weekly attraction during her two seasons on the reality show Love and Hip Hop: New York and part of the reason she has transcended into rap superstardom. Maybe it’s due to her lack of a filter, coupled with her infectious personality and air of authenticity. When she’s not putting out hit records or rocking sold-out crowds, Bardi has given us some of her most memorable moments on social media over the last few years.

Instagram and Twitter have given us a glimpse into Cardi’s world that has included ups, down, trials, triumphs and everything in between. From award celebrations to the much-talked-about relationship strife with Offset, to just offering ratchet commentary, Cardi has been an open book with her fans. Recently, however, the Bronx rapper appears to have had enough with social media after claiming to be the victim of industry bad press in early October.

“You see I been workin my ass off doing my shit. I go out I do press run people took my kindness for weakness I felt violated I said how I felt now I am THE INDUSTRY WICKED WITCH AGAIN,” she vented on Twitter. “This is why I don’t be talking or socializing cause it always end up bad for Cardi!...After my bday [Oct. 11]..I’m deleting my social media accounts for a while cause a bitch just OVER IT.”

This wouldn’t be the first time she has taken a hiatus from the socials. Back in February, she deactivated her IG account after receiving backlash over her 2019 Grammy award win for Best Rap Album. Last year, she shut things down for a while following a spat with Azealia Banks. One thing is for sure, social media just quite isn’t the same when Bardi is away.
