Cardi B Says She Lost Millions of Dollars After Canceling Shows
Cardi B may be recovering from her surgeries, but she claims she's lost millions in the process.
Earlier this week (May 27), Cardi went Live on Instagram to vent about her recovery process after she reportedly got liposuction. After describing her most recent doctor visit, the Bronx rapper admitted that she hates turning down gigs and canceling shows because she's addicted to money. Bardi also revealed that she lost several paid gigs worth millions due to her doctor's orders.
"I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows," Cardi said during her Instagram Live. "A lot of money like I'm canceling millions of dollars in shows. But like health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do."
Last week (May 21), Cardi reportedly had to postpone a performance in Baltimore, Md. in order to properly recover from a liposuction procedure she had done after the birth of her daughter Kulture. Although she had to push performance back to September, ticket sales for the 92Q Spring Bling Festival's new date have soared through the roof.
Since the announcement, over 2,500 tickets and counting have been sold. Promoters plan to honor tickets for the original date so they're more than certain that the show at the Royal Farms Arena --- which holds 13,000 people --- will be sold out.
