Buddy is currently preparing his forthcoming debut album, and we're finally getting a taste of what he's creating for the project. The Compton rapper teams up with ASAP Ferg for his new single, "Black," which features them embracing the history and culture of the black community.

The two rap stars dive into the accomplishments of not only historical figures, but also their peers in the rap and music community.

“I feel like Trayvon with this black hoodie on/Huey P. Newton/Black Revolution," Buddy rhymes. "I’m with a Nubian queen and some illegal aliens/I got a black fist balled up and it ain’t just me, it’s all of us."

Ferg hops on the final verse of the Jahaan Sweet-produced record, where he name-drops singer 6lack, and embraces his blackness.

"This kid black Timbs black/Kill tracks like I'm six black (Black ass nigga)," the Harlem rapper raps. "Hair blacker than black lips black/Even my dick black/Grandad Irish Trinidad."

Last year, Buddy released his Magnolia EP for fans, which received tons of critical acclaim within the hip-hop community. His debut studio LP, which he is currently working on through RCA, may potentially drop this summer.
