Atmosphere Stage a Jailbreak in “Seismic Waves” Video

The new video from Atmosphere's "Seismic Waves" is a riot, literally, as all hell breaks loose in a prison, cons giving in to their wildest tendencies. The video, which was directed by Kron, appears to be a single take, the camera panning in slow motion as an incarcerated Slug surveys the mayhem around him. The simplicity of it, the single scene, destruction unfolding frame by frame, gives the video a bonafide cinematic quality.

The song comes from the duos eighth studio album, Fishing Blues, which dropped back in August. Speaking with XXL, Slug said that while writing and recording the album, there were a number of voices in the studio who he could bounce ideas off of." It created an environment that was very loose and didn’t take itself too seriously," he said. "We had a lot of fun, and I think a lot of that got captured on this record.
