Atlanta Rapper Yung Mazi Shot in the Chest
Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi, who has worked with Kevin Gates and reps his Bread Winners' Association label online, was shot in the chest at a local Waffle House Tuesday morning (Dec. 27) WSB-TV Atlanta and other outlets are reporting.
"God made me bulletproof," Mazi later tweeted but has since deleted. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital and is expected to fully recover. Police say Mazi entered the restaurant around 4 a.m. and was ordering when other diners opened fire. Any potential suspect remains at large, police report.
This would not be the first time Mazi has encountered gunfire, as he recounts in a video below the many times he's been shot, saying he named his release at the time Physical Therapy because he had been undergoing treatment. "I just got shot up again," he says. "I been shot ten times, and I been going through physical therapy. I was just in a wheel chair." As to why he's been shot so often, Mazi says it is likely the expensive jewelry he wears.
Earlier this month, Mazi released his Free My Bruddas 2 mixtape featuring Gates on the track "Roamin' Around." The Waffle House in which the shooting took place is pictured below, with additional details not yet available.
