The multi-talented Anderson .Paak is taking a trip to Hawaii to work on his next album, and here we get a peek into the process.

What better place to record and create your brand new album in a area filled with comfort and tranquility? Paak decided to take his talents to Oahu, Hawaii to finish up his forthcoming project. The rapper/singer/drummer took to his Instagram to give his fans a brief look at how he’s been working with a caption that read “Working on the new album in Oahu for a week. (sorry no sxsw).” In the short clip, viewers catch Anderson hanging out on what seems to be the roof of a building as he and a friend start stir up some small take and then begin to create some new tunes.

Anderson .Paak has been engaging in a few other things since the year started. He and Pharrell Williams teamed up to cover Thundercat’s “Them Changes” song via Pharrell’s OTHERtone Radio Show. The California musician was also spotted in the studio with Chance The Rapper. This can potentially mean a collaboration is coming from the two, especially with this news of Anderson working on a new project. The rapper is also performing tomorrow (March 9) with his Free Nationals crew at Join The Republik, a premier concert venue in Honolulu.

The Oxnard native has had a lot of success with his music and continues to get praised for all of his efforts. In 2016, he released his highly anticipated album Malibu and received his first Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album. He also landed himself a spot on XXL's 2016 Freshmen List and then dropped the terrific NxWorries album Yes, Lawd! with production god Knxwledge.

There’s no official release date for Anderson .Paak’s new album but we’re sure his fans will enjoy it when it drops. Check out the Instagram video below.
