Anderson .Paak was recently a guest on Pharrell and Scott Vener's OTHERtone Radio show, when the Oxnard singer and Skateboard P broke out in an impromptu performance of Thundercat's "Them Changes."

In the promotional clip for the upcoming interview, the three men are chopping it up when the topic of Cat comes up. "Shout out to Thunder 'Special' Cat," says Pharrell.

Paak follows up, "Shout out to all the Burners, they're all geniuses."

The spirit then takes over P, who starts to beatbox the track, while Anderson sings along. "Them Changes" is off Thundercat's six-song project, The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam, that dropped in June.

Later on, Anderson reveals he has a few records with Q-Tip on deck.

The full interview will air Sunday (Jan. 8), at 3 p.m. EST.

Pharrell's respect for Cat is mutual. During an interview with XXL back in March, Thundercat called the Virginia super producer his hero. "Pharrell, I really, really would love to get a chance to work with him," he told us. "He’s been my hero since I was a young kid."

.Paak had a stellar year, which started with the release of his critically acclaimed album Malibu in January, and ended with his first Grammy nominations in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

In between, he scored a spot on XXL's 2016 Freshman cover and put out the collab project Yes Lawd! with Knxwledge, as the group NxWorries.

Paak has been back in the lab working with label boss Dr. Dre. “We’ve been getting it in,” he told Power 106 during an interview back in November. “Whenever I’m in town I just go over there and kick it with him and make something. And we just put it away,” he explained.
