It has been a little more than 48 hours since the occupying force of Kendrick Lamar declared himself “King Of New York” on his monumental verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” Hip-Hop has been served notice that Kendrick has claimed superiority over his peers, putting himself on the pedestal of the greats.

Newtonian physics tell us that “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” You didn’t really think hip-hop wouldn’t respond to this, did you? Over the last 36 hours, hip-hop has responded in force. Some find Kendrick’s braggadocio refreshing while others find the Good Kid's gall to rather offensive.

XXL has compiled a comprehensive list of all the responses that Kendrick has gotten. All of the tweets, interviews, videos and songs have been assembled into one convenient place of record.— Additional Reporting By Miranda J.
