6 Examples of 6ix9ine Doing Good Deeds
In 2018, 6ix9ine is inescapable. Since making his first big splash in 2017 with his breakout hit single "Gummo," 6ix9ine has become one of the most polarizing rappers in a relatively short time, resulting in the Brooklyn native becoming public enemy number one. A majority of the noise surrounding 6ix9ine has come as a result of the controversy surrounding his sexual misconduct case, as well as his various beefs with the likes of YG, Chief Keef and Trippie Redd.
Yet while 6ix9ine's penchant for controversy has become synonymous with his brand, the rapper has also gained a reputation for being one of today's more charitable new artists. Using his newfound fame and fortune to his advantage, the "Fefe" rapper has paid it forward on various occasions, often by handing out cash to the less fortunate. (Perhaps 6ix9ine's donations to everyday people helped inspire Drake's generosity for his own "God's Plan video).
Tekashi 6ix9ine even incorporated charity in one of his troll moves, donating money to the homeless in Chicago while calling out local artists, claiming they don't do the same. Most recently, he's visited a young child who is fighting terminal brain cancer, making a final wish come true. He's shared all of these moments with the public, creating goodwill and showing that despite all of his antics, there's a heart of gold behind those rainbow tresses.
In light of 6ix9ine's well-documented generosity, XXL compiles a list of the rapper's good deeds thus far.
