Tax season is traditionally not such a bright time for rappers. Year after year, we hear stories of rappers failing to cut checks to the IRS, resulting in severe debt and in Kreayshawn's case, having her entire bank account wiped clean.

While stories like Lil Wayne owing up to $12.8 million to the government and being hit with a $900,000 tax lien circulate—In the past year, however, the most memorable story revolving around tax troubles would have to be Kreayshawn. In December, four days before Christmas to be exact, the "Gucci Gucci" singer had her bank account bled dry. The IRS took all her money causing her to relay her woes to Twitter. Apparently, her accountant had pulled some shady business and hadn't payed her taxes since 2011. She had no idea this was going down.

In hip-hop, this is a tale we see way too often. Rappers owing millions in debt, sometimes forced to file bankruptcy and even serve jail time. The taxes likely fall to the wayside due to faulty accountants or rappers just not paying adequate attention. Over the course of the past year, the stories haven't stopped.
