Drake, Kendrick Lamar and More Nominated for 2017 American Music Awards

After releasing two of hip-hop's biggest albums this year, Kendrick Lamar and Drake will once again be competing at the 2017 American Music Awards. Along with The Weeknd, Kendrick and Drizzy are all nominated for five awards.

K. Dot and Drake will go head-to-head in the Artist of the Year category, as well as Favorite Album (Rap/Hip-Hop) and Favorite Song (Rap/Hip-Hop). The More Life rapper is also up for Favorite Male Artist (Pop/Rock) and Favorite Album (Pop/Rock), while Kendrick gets a nod in the Collaboration of the Year category thanks to his song with Maroon 5, "Don't Wanna Know."

Other rappers nominated for awards include Rae Sremmurd and Post Malone for New Artist of the Year, Migos for Favorite Artist (Rap/Hip-Hop), Childish Gambino for Favorite Artist (Soul/R&B).

The 2017 American Music Awards will take place on Nov. 19 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The event will air live on ABC at 8 p.m.
