2 Chainz Teases New Song From Forthcoming ‘Rap or Go to the League’ Album
2 Chainz is over a year removed from releasing his acclaimed Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album, and it looks like his new album Rap or Go to the League could be nearing the finishing stages.
On Sunday night (July 29), 2 Chainz rapper previewed a new song, which he said is titled "Ex Drug Dealer," during his lively headlining performance at the MLS All-Star Concert in Atlanta. The track, presumed to appear on his next album and produced by Mike Will Made It, features high octane production and 2 Chainz's deft wordplay as well as his signature ad-libs.
"Had a half a ticket before I met with Def Jam/Ask Chris and 20 who was the X man/No Wolverine here/Collecting hundred dollar bills like a souvenir," he spits over the thumping 808s.
While details surrounding the album's release are scare at the moment, the album's title appears to be in reference to 2 Chainz's past dealings as both a highly sought after prospect in college basketball as well as the rap game.
We're just glad 2 Chainz stuck to pursuing a career in rap and has new heat in store. The new single arrives on the heels of his Drake and Migos-assisted record "Bigger Than You." So, there's really no telling how many more bangers 2 Chainz may gift fans ahead of his forthcoming album.
