Last year, in one of the most bizarre incidents in hip-hop, West coast rapper and weed enthusiast, Afroman, punched a female fan on stage during one of his performances. The incident, which landed the “Because I Got High” MC in some serious problems, wasn’t the first time a hip-hop act attacked a fan on stage, in fact, there’s been several notable rappers in the past who have had physical altercations with fans or fellow rappers while performing on stage.

With Afroman still dealing with the repercussions of his actions from last year, the 41-year-old MC joined the likes of Action Bronson, Kid Cudi and The Game, as rappers who’ve fought on the stage. While Action has the tendency of body slamming and clotheslining his crazy fans who dare to step onto his stage set, rappers like Kid Cudi and 50 Cent have taken a more subtle approach with annoying concert-goers by simply pushing them off the stage with out a major incident escalating. Another incident of rappers fighting on stage, but this time with each other, was in 2007 when New York rappers Saigon and Prodigy handled their beef on stage in front of a packed S.O.B.s crowd.

The ongoing stage incidents between hip-hop acts and fans/peers may be quiet for now, but you never know when the next knucklehead might try a rapper on stage. Today, XXL looks back at some of the most notorious on-stage fights between rappers and fans or even rappers and fellow comrades.
