Yo Gotti has been pushing a cocaine white Lamborghini since at least 2010 but for the first time in his career, Gotti has reached hit-making territory with his smash "Down in the DM." With The Art of Hustle out now, Gotti is riding a high and brought his presence to the late night stage for a performance of the undeniable track. With Travis Barker playing the drums behind him and two dancers re-enacting every line of the borderline vulgar song, the Memphis native lights up the stage with his two Cuban link chains, wrist wear and a smile that is certainly due to years of hard work and hustling finally paying off.

Gotti's project features Lil Wayne, Future, E-40, Pusha T, 2 Chainz and Timbaland. NIcki Minaj gave "DM' an extra boost by hopping on the remix and addressing her running feud with pop star Miley Cyrus.

In a January interview with XXL, Gotti explained that "Down in the DM's" message is connecting with people because many of its listeners use social media to holler at the opposite sex. “Just across the nation, it’s connecting people," he said. "I had a lot of records that connected people fast. I just think the context of what it’s about and the time we’re living in, it was the record that needed to be made right now. I happened to be the one that made it.”

"Down in the DM" is Gotti's highest charting track on the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently peaking at No. 18 and has been charting for the last 12 weeks.
