Yo Gotti Receives the Key to Memphis

From moving keys to receiving the key to the city. Yo Gotti has made an admirable transition. A couple days ago, the CMG rapper was honored with the key to his hometown, Memphis.

Gotti posted a video of himself receiving the prestigious token, which occurred at his fifth annual Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash. During a stoppage in the action, city officials brought out the plaque and made the decree of giving the MC his own day.

"Life Crazy, Top Of The Week I Get Letter Sayin They Tryna Ban Me Form #RidgecrestApt My Hood [sic]," he wrote in the caption. "Then Last Night They Gave Me A KEY TO THE CITY🔑 & " A DAY" THEY OFFICIALLY MADE JUNE 29th Yo Gotti DAY! SH!T #Legendary."

MCs are being blessed with the honor left and right. Last month alone, both Nicki Minaj and Fabolous were bestowed with the keys Queens and Brooklyn, respectively.

In Gotti-related news, tomorrow (July 5), he and Meek Mill will kick off their Against All Odds Tour. The 21-city jaunt will start in Cleveland, Ohio before hitting major cities such as Detroit, Boston, New York City, Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles and then finally wrapping up on August 8 in Seattle, Wash.
