Wiz Khalifa kicked off SportsCenter's newest segment, Center Stage, by performing a medley of his hits on the show's set. Backed by a live band and video highlights of last night's NBA Draft prospects playing on the big screen, Wiz reeled off "Work Hard, Play Hard," and "We Dem Boyz." With no in-studio audience, Wiz brought good energy and did a good job in what could have been an awkward situation.

“Want to make any sports highlight more dynamic? Just add a soundtrack. Sports and music have always had a cool connection, and we hope Center Stage will further that relationship in a way that will resonate with our fans,” said Senior Vice President of SportsCenter and News Rob King via a press release. “To be able to kick it off with Wiz Khalifa and Wale, back-to-back, is instant confirmation of how impactful ‘Center Stage’ can be.”

Tonight (June 26), noted sports fan Wale will take the stage to give it a go-round from SportsCenter's Los Angeles set during the 6 P.M. EST airing of the show. Wiz is currently on the road with Fallout Boy for the Boys of Zummer tour that rolls through Hartford, Connecticut tonight. Check out the remaining dates and venues below:
