Vince Staples Performs “Love Can Be…” With Special Guests on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’
Vince Staples season is in full effect following the release of his critically acclaimed Big Fish Theory album last Friday (June 23). Just last night, the talented Long Beach, Calif. artist took the stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform "Love Can Be..." alongside Kilo Kish, Ray J and Damon Albarn. Peep the performance for yourself below.
Under the glare of flashing blue lights, Vince uses a rapid fire flow to detail the dimensions of his cynical outlook when it comes to love. "Never finna weekend raise my seed/Baby mama drama on the TMZ/Alimony money for the nails and weave/Nail me to the cross like that boy JC," Vince spits over the live instrumentation, which makes the song that much doper.
Vince's appearance on The Tonight Show arrives just a few days after he appeared in a new Sprite commercial—which sort of marks another sign he's become more popular than ever. In the new ad, he plays the role of an apathetic actor trying to cash in on a Sprite commercial, and badly botching it in the process. Of course, that's the whole point of the advertisement.
With six months remaining in 2017, it's clear Vince is poised to continue doing big things for the rest of the year, and we're he'll be popping up a lot more in the near future.
