Trippie Redd Thinks YoungBoy Never Broke Again Is Tupac Shakur
Trippie Redd made a bold statement that has some rap fans scratching their heads.
On Monday (Oct. 14), the 2018 XXL Freshman hopped on Instagram Live to proclaim that fellow rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again is Tupac Shakur. “Believe or not, love me or hate me, YoungBoy is Tupac, man,” he tells his viewers before laughing.
We don’t know if Trippie is trolling or was serious with his statement. Judging by the comments, some people think he was joking. “Is that cap I smell,” wrote one fan, while another person commented, “This generation always try and compare their self to Pac, stop reaching.”
Trippie's comment comes on the heels of YoungBoy releasing his new mixtape, AI YoungBoy 2. This is the rapper's first official project since being arrested in May. The mixtape is the sequel to his 2017 effort of the same name. The new collection boasts 18 tracks with guest appearances from NoCap and Quando Rondo on the banger "Outta Here Safe."
As for Trippie Redd, the Canton, Ohio native is on tour promoting his latest album, !, which premiered at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart in August. Trippie is used to people writing mean tweets about him, which probably means he's okay with saying whatever crosses his mind, which is what he did in this case.
