Trippie Redd Appears in New Hulu Commercial During 2018 Emmy Awards

If you watched the 2018 Emmy Awards on Monday night (Sept. 17), you probably saw Hulu's new "Never Get Hulu" commercial, but what you may have missed during the 60-second advertisement was a cameo from Trippie Redd.

The commercial, which urges viewers to never fly first class, never get a king size bed and never get Hulu, features appearances from NBA star James Harden, NFL quarterback Jared Goff and a number of other celebrities. While most of the celebs all have speaking parts, Trippie can be seen sitting courtside at a basketball game.

It's uncertain how the Canton, Ohio native ended up in Hulu's latest campaign, but the rapper makes a few appearances during the commercial, appearing in the background while another actor talks.

Trippie is only a month removed from the release of his debut album Life's a Trip, but the artist is already gearing up for his next project, A Love Letter to You 3. On Saturday (Sept. 15), the 2018 XXL Freshman shared a preview of a few news songs that will appear on the record.

One of the tracks is titled "Topanga" and finds Trippie crooning over a sped up sample. "Don't talk to strangers, since a youngin' I been toting bangers/I might take that lil' bitch to Topanga/I said stop lil' bitch you in danger/Yea, you in danger, I might take yo' lil' ass to Topanga/Just don't move like no ma'fuckin' stranger/Know I tote bangers, boom, boom, boom, boom!" he sings.
