Trae Tha Truth Partners With Motocross Star Josh Hansen to Treat 60 Families to Supercross Event

Following his heroic efforts in Houston after the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey last year, Trae Tha Truth's work was noticed by motocross star Joshn Hansen who wanted to partner with the rapper.

Trae's Relief Gang charity and Hansen's Livin100 and Nut Up Industries recently teamed up to take 60 families affected by the storm to a Supercross event. “I saw what Trae was doing, and I told him, 'hey I want to be a part [of this] however I can,'" Hansen told Fox Sports.

Along with the work he did with Hansen, Trae also got some help from NBA player Gerald Green. The Houston Rockets player recently spent time with the rapper and his Relief Gang, lending a hand to the relief efforts.

The Supercross event is just the latest charitable effort from Trae. In December, his group partnered with Cigna and JC Penny to give Houston families in need a $71,000 shopping spree.

XXL previously caught up with Trae around the time of Hurricane Harvey, who told us there wasn't an accurate way to predict the scale of the natural disaster.

"It's just at a point, I don't even know," he explained. "I wouldn't even put it on experts here, you have experts that do weather across the world, so, I mean, could they have notified us more and let us know how devastating it would be? Possibly. Or could it be a situation where, you know, nature has a mind of its own and they didn't know it was gonna be this catastrophic. So I don't know. I think at this point I'm just trying to figure out ways to get it together."

Trae's efforts have not gone unnoticed. The rapper was also honored as the co-Grand Marshall of the nation's fourth largest Martin Luther King Day celebration earlier this month.
