1998: Wu-Tang Clan member Cappadonna released his debut album The Pillage on March 24, 1998. The Staten Island MC was in the original line-up of the Wu with Raekwon, RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard, however, he was replaced by Method Man after he was sent to jail. It wouldn't be until 1995 that Cappadonna would make his debut on Rae's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... single "Ice Cream."

When released in 1998, Cappa's The Pillage peaked at #3 on the charts and sports production credits from Wu-Tang heavyweights RZA, True Master, Allah Mathematics and 4th Disciple, as well as guest features from Ghostface Killah, U-God and Raekwon. The album would eventually be ceritified Gold by the RIAA, selling over 500,000 copies. Since The Pillage Cappa has dropped seven solo albums, including his most recent release, 2015's sequel, The Pillage 2. Cappa is also a frequent collaborator with The Wu and Ghostaface Killah on a separate collective called Theodore Unit.
