The Game will not face any jail for punching an off-duty cop in 2015. The Compton rapper accepted a deal by pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal threats, according to TMZ. The Game received three years of probation, 120 days community service and must attend 26 anger management classes.

Back in 2015, The Game originally pled not guilty to the charges. Onyebuchi Awaji, an off-duty officer, testified that The Game intentionally fouled Awaji then punched him during the third quarter of a pickup basketball game.

Awaji also sued The Game in a civil case and won $100,000 when the MC failed to respond to the lawsuit. The "Hate It or Love It" rhymer had to pay Awaji $60,000 in damages and another $40,000 as a deterrent.

Although The Game did not experience much legal luck when it came to this incident, he recently got some good news regarding another case. The Game was finally granted a new trial regarding a sexual assault lawsuit filed by Priscilla Rainey.

Rainey claimed she was sexually assaulted during her time as a contestant on The Game's VH1 reality show She's Got Game. At trial, a jury found The Game to be guilty and awarded Rainey $7.1 million. The veteran rapper protested the result due to an allegedly biased jury and his inability to defend himself in person. The Game’s motion for a new trial was initially denied by a judge, but his bid was finally accepted last month.
