The Game turned himself in to authorities in Los Angeles on Sunday night (March 2) to begin serving his 60-day jail sentence on a felony weapons charge. The charge stemmed from a February 24, 2007 incident at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in Los Angeles. According to witnesses, the Compton native got into an argument with a fellow player during a basketball game and subsequently threatened the man with a firearm he retrieved from his Cadillac Escalade. Last month the rapper agreed to a plea deal and prosecutors agreed to dismiss two additional charges of making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer. Website TMZ.com captured footage of the rapper reporting to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility late Sunday night accompanied by an entourage of supporters wearing Free Game t-shirts. The site later reported that the Compton native will serve his time segregated from other prisoners and could possibly even be released early.
