‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown Raps a Recap of Show’s First Season
Unless you've been living under a rock, or simply without internet, you've probably seen or heard about Stranger Things, the inventive Netflix show that just premiered its second season on the platform. If you didn't know about it, but want to jump right into the series' current events, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the lead role of a super-powered girl on the show, has got you covered.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (Nov. 1), Brown delivered a rapped recap of the action-packed Stranger Things season one. Donning a pair of shades, Brown took the stage to spread the good word to the masses, flipping parts of Cardi B's platinum-selling single, "Bodak Yellow" while spitting.
"Let's go back to Indiana, circa 1983/Just four boys in the basement chillin', playin' D&D
There was Lucas, there was Willy Will/And Dustin, there was a Mike/But one night, Will goes missing while he’s riding on his bike, yikes!/That's when they met me Elev
I had no hair on my head/I had been so close to dead," Brown spits.
In the brief hook for the song, she makes reference to the bloody nose her character gets when she uses her psychic powers, referencing "Bodak Yellow" in the process. "All I need is my Eggo waffles, I'm in love with those/What I'm left with when I use my powers is a bloody nose," she spits.
If you don't remember, the cadence and lyrics of Brown's freestyle mimick the same patterns heard in "Bodak Yellow," specifically the part about "money moves" and "bloody shoes." Peep Brown's Stranger Things season one recap rap below.
