There are more performance woes for Ohio's Slim Jesus. Less than two weeks after footage surfaced of Slim getting the microphone yanked out of his hand in Ottawa by a concertgoer who said "support real hip-hop, bitch," news comes out that the rapper had a lackluster performance in Kentucky recently.

As Noisey reports, Slim took his Young & Ignorant tour to a Louisville strip club where a group of 18-24 year olds gathered in what writer Michael Powell described as numbers that were "modest to begin with" and thinned out. Powell paints the set as jarring and confounding, with Slim opening up with his only true recognizable song, "Drill Time." That the club sent out dancers seemed to only add to the strangeness of the event.

As Powell writes: "The novelty of watching someone without any sense of self-awareness appropriate a violent lifestyle he doesn’t understand because of how we consume music and culture, the medium becoming the message, feels a bit uncomfortable."

Late last month a video was released (and since deleted) suggesting that Birdman was interested in signing Slim Jesus to Cash Money but the rapper had also posted a video to Instagram showing him burning a contract with hashtag IndependentMoney.

There are a few videos over on Instagram of Slim's strip club performance, if you care to see the set for yourself.
