The long-awaited Nike and Skepta collaboration finally gets a release date. Launching this spring, the Air Max 97/BW SK will mark the second and latest collaboration between the London-born rapper and the Swoosh.

Paying homage to the cities that helped build Skepta to the artist he is today, the shoes take cues from London’s grime scene, Skepta’s inspirational trips to Morocco and his beloved relationship with the city of Paris. Unveiled by Skepta via Instagram a few weeks back, the silhouette is serves as a follow up to Skepta's coveted 2017 Air Max SK.

Combining two of Nike’s signature Air Max shoes into a clean, appealing hybrid silhouette, Skepta and the Swoosh create the Air Max 97/BW SK. Constructed out of leather and premium textured fabrics, the canvas is dressed in white colorway with hits of royal blue and gym red on the Swoosh checks. The midsole is built with an Air Max 97 Bubble Unit from heel to toe while an SK Air-branded padlock complements the shoes eyelets.

The Skepta Air Max 97/BW SK will initially release in Paris on May 14 via Sneakrs Stash. A wider release is slated for May 19 at Paris locations Pigalle, The Broken Arm, Starcow, Footpatrol and SNS. The shoe will also launch at select Nike retailers in Europe and Japan.
