Shirt Heads to Sierra Leone for New “Woman Is God” Video
Queens MC Shirt recently went on a soulful quest into the streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone in Africa to document the breathtaking experience he encountered out there for his new video "Woman Is God."
Shirt spent 10 days exploring the area, engaging in conversations and witnessing firsthand the complexities and perseverance of Africa's people and land. Some of the most raw, most beautiful sights of the motherland can be seen in this visual. In the video, the rapper and his lady meet with locales and explore the land.
“Woman Is God” is the third visual released from Shirt's Pure Beauty album. The track follows the arrival of songs like his hometown tribute “Flight Home” and the politically-charged “Climate Change.” Shirt's Pure Beauty LP, which dropped in February, features 11 tracks and showcases the MC's lyrical wit on "Snowbeach," "Zebra," "Palace Intrigue" and "F**k It Going Live," to name a few. The album was also inspired by concept artist John Baldesarri. Shirt formed a relationship with Baldesarri after reaching out to him and meeting together.
In January, Shirt kicked off the year by signing to Jack White's Third Man Records. Before that, he was pursuing an M.A. in Fine Arts in Europe.
