Actor, poet and singer Saul Williams has been cast in the lead role for Holler If Ya Hear Me, a new musical that is inspired and featuring the music of the late Tupac Shakur but it is not telling his Pac's life story. The musical is describe as “a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope.”

Williams will not be playing Tupac. Holler If Ya Hear Me is being produced by Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur, written by Todd Kreidler and is directed by Kenny Leon with choreography by Wayne Cilento. Other cast members are John Earl Jelks,  Saycon Sengbloh, Dyllon Burnside and Joshua Boone. Holler If Ya Hear Meopens this summer on Broadway.
