Russell Westbrook is a Lil Uzi Vert fan.

Just like the rest of us, Westbrook is ready for the weekend to start and he's using Lil Uzi Vert's banger "Do What I Want" to celebrate. The Oklahoma City Thunder player posted a video of himself rapping Uzi's track in the car with the caption "Friday's Mood #whynot" on Twitter today (Aug. 19).

This co-sign from Westbrook, one of the biggest names in the NBA, is just another notch on Uzi's belt in terms of early career highlights. The 2016 XXL Freshman has been festival-hopping all season and last month, celebrated the crossover from Soundcloud sensation to certified radio artist with two songs on the Billboard Hot 100. "Money Longer" is currently at No. 68 while "You Was Right" lands at No.89.

Uzi's success so far can be attributed to his rock-rap style. The “All My Chains” rapper told XXL that he could not pinpoint his influences during his interview at the Freshman cover shoot and basically thinks of himself as his own inspiration.

“One thing I could tell you is that I’m all over the place,” he explained. “I know about everything, like one of those guys. When you get to that point it’s kinda hard to say who you influenced by because it’s so many people and then you embody it, not embrace it, embody it until something that you turn into your own."

Watch Westbrook rock out to Uzi in the 10-second clip.
