Never-before-seen footage of 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. freestyling together has surfaced.

Fresh off the 16th anniversary of the Biggie's passing this past weekend, a video clip of the two emcees freestyling together at the Royalty Hotel was released earlier today. The video, which was shot by journalist Dream Hampton, dates back to May 4th, 1994.

The rare footage of the two iconic emcees took place six months before the now-infamous Quad Recording Studio session in which 2Pac was shot six times during a robbery attempt. The incident proved to be a catalyst in the East coast/West coast rivalry after 'Pac accused Biggie and his manager Sean "Diddy" Combs of orchestrating the attack.

This isn't the first piece of vintage 2Pac footage unearthed in 2013. The late rapper's former videographer Gobi M. Rahimi has released a number of unseen clips of 2Pac in preparation for an upcoming documentary titled 7 Dayz, which follows the slain emcee's final week before his murder in 1996.
