Rapper Pharaoh Speaks Out on Dispute With ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Star Karlie Redd

Karlie Redd finds herself in a legal dispute with a rapper and promoter named Pharaoh. The rapper, whose real name is Christopher Powe, got a restraining order against the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star after some type of altercation went down on Aug. 6. Powe filed a police report which claimed the two were in a lover's quarrel according to TMZ.

The situation escalated when a drunk Karlie Redd allegedly snapped, locked herself in a bathroom and flushed Pharaoh's stuff down the toilet. Pharaoh also accuses her of telling him how she would claim he raped her. The rapper issued a statement about the whole situation.

"As someone who has two sisters and young fans I’m gravely disturbed and disappointed by Karlie’s accusations, actions and behavior," Powe said. "I feel as if I have been used for a possible storyline, and I am bothered by this because this is someone I actually truly cared about. We are at a pivotal and delicate time in our country and world, we have too many real issues going on in our community and against our people for us to be distracted by nonsense. I am fully focused on being a musician and creating music that uplifts others. At this point my only focus will be my music. I thank everyone for their support."

Karlie Redd's reps claim she locked herself in the bathroom for her own protection. The reality star's team says she caught Pharaoh taking pictures of her while she slept. She argues that the rapper concocted this story to cover up what he did. Redd and Pharaoh will return to court next month in an effort to settle the matter.
