After announcing a joint EP back in October and letting the title track leak (and then unleak) in December, the planned Party at 8 collaboration between PartyNextDoor and TM88 has officially been axed. The Atlanta producer announced the fate of the project on Twitter late Saturday night (Jan. 9), responding to a fan who inquired about its status. "Don't kno if it's ever coming out not my fault tho," he wrote.

While on the subject, TM88 elaborated, saying, "Party still my Homie but... Party @ 8 is no longer sorry guys! That's the way the game go !" And finally, "I'm over it!" The three tweets suggest there was an issue with timing or communication as it appears the concept did little more than get off the ground. There are no additional details as to why the EP got scrapped, though of the seven tracks Party dropped back in October, not a one remains on the artist's Soundcloud. Perhaps a change in direction was decided upon for the Toronto singer, who's seen more competition arise as the dark and moody R&B lane with newcomers Bryson Tiller and Tory Lanez.

If any news points one way or the other for the decision to scrap the EP, we will be sure to update.
