OutKast Reunites, Shuts Down Coachella
The scene was so thick. Thousands of fans packed into the outdoor venue space at the storied Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival last night and were treated to the first of what is slated to be over 40 festival shows for the legendary Atlanta group, Outkast. Letting their presence on the blacked-out stage be known with Big Boi's signature "Hooty-Hoo," the dynamic duo kicked off their return to the stage with anticipation building light effects before jumping into their 2000 hit single "B.O.B. (Bombs Over Bahgdad)" igniting the raucous crowd. Big Boi and Andre 3000 performed for nearly two hours, backed by a live band, running through favorites like, "Rosa Parks," "ATLiens," "Da Art of Story Telling," "Skew It On The Bar-B," "SpottieOttieDopaliscious" and more before moving into solo records. As special guests, they brought out Janelle Monae, Sleepy Brown and Future to perform past collaborations.
