Nyck Caution has come up with a very creative video for his record "Basin" produced by Kirk Knight. The Pro Era member concocts a visual that examines what reality is with the help of director Brendan Vaughan.

"Sometimes we don't know what's real and what's fake," Nyck Caution said of the music video. "Sometimes we don't know if we're asleep or awake. Let me take it back to the basics."

The music video sees Nyck Caution waking up in a pool of his own blood in the cold of winter. As the Brooklyn rapper tries to figure out where he is, he passes out again. Suddenly, he finds himself in a club surrounded by people. Oddly enough, he sees himself performing on stage. Later, he's seen making out with a woman before he is seemingly drugged by her. He wakes up once again in a different location as he's seen rapping on top of a car in the middle of the night. For a final time, Nyck passes out. But this time, he wakes up back where he started. It appears that everything that took place was nothing but a dream.

The video is well done, but it should not overshadow the actual song. Nyck Caution unleashes slick bars that show why he's emerging out of the large shadow that Joey Badass sometimes casts on Pro Era.

"I'm alive/I'll arrive for the ride/Decide what I do with my time when I die/Remind everybody left behind that I was living for the moment, so/Really when you find the same grip that I did with mine/You realize, it's not about no nine to five/You just passing time/Crashing I, fantasize, never living no passive life/You ain't got the answers, guy/Sway let 'em know I'm rap's new paradigm/On my parasol/Yeah, just tryna find paradise/Just tryna find paradise/Just tryna find paradise," Nyck Caution raps.
