Bobby Shmurda may be behind bars but that hasn't stopped the Brooklyn rapper from staying in tune with the surge of newcomers in the game, particularly Lil BabyGunna and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

On Thursday (July 19), the "Hot N*gga" artist spoke with ThisIs50 to discuss his highly-anticipated release from prison, the current state of rap and more. During the nearly 10-minute long conversation, Bobby praises the likes of Lil Baby, Gunna and NBA YoungBoy while shutting down rumors that he is feuding with fellow Brooklyn artist 6ix9ine. "I be seeing a lot of shit and I like what's going on. I love the energy," Bobby prefaced. "See niggas coming out the hood all day. I be bumping niggas all the time like NBA YoungBoy or Lil Baby and Gunna."

He continued, "I'm fucking with everybody coming out right now. I love the energy and seeing niggas get the fuck up out the hood and doing something."

When asked if he would be open to collaborating with the aforementioned acts, Bobby appeared confident that it would happen upon his release. "When I get out, we gonna fuck everything up. Real niggas gonna link up regardless," he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Computers" rapper revealed that he would be released from jail as early as 2020, confirming earlier reports that he would be up for parole sooner than expected. “I got two years left. 2020 I'm coming out and fucking everything up,” Bobby said alluding to the music scene.
