Nas has finally announced the official release date for his long-awaited album, The Lost Tapes 2.

In a press release circulated on Tuesday (July 2), Nas' Mass Appeal imprint confirmed that The Lost Tapes 2 will arrive on July 19 via Mass Appeal/Def Jam. The tape will feature songs that didn't make the cut from his 2006 album Hip-Hop is Dead, his 2008 effort Untitled, 2012's Life is Good and most recently, 2018's Kanye-produced Nasir.

The Lost Tapes 2 comes over 15 years since its predecessor, which dropped in September of 2002 and has long since been heralded as one of Nas' best works to date. Just like this effort, The Lost Tapes was comprised of leftover tracks that did not make his previous releases, which mainly consisted of sessions from his 1999 album, I Am..., and 2001's Stillmatic.

Production for The Lost Tapes 2 includes heavyweights among the likes of Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, Statik Selektah, No I.D., Kanye West, The Alchemist, Pete Rock and many more, while guest appearances include RaVaughn, J. Myers, David Ranier, Al Jarreau and Keyon Harrold.

Nas will also kick off a joint tour with Mary J. Blige just before the album's release. You can view the full list of dates as well as The Lost Tapes 2 tracklist below.
