After crushing her Super Bowl halftime performance alongside Katy Perry, Missy Elliott keeps the momentum going by hitting the studio with her longtime friend and collaborator, Timbaland.

Missy took to her Twitter last night (Feb 10) to post up a pic of the duo reconnecting in the studio. The picture confirms the rumors that Missy and Timbo are getting back together for some new music. Although new nothing has been released thus far from the pairing, this should get fans excited. The Virginia product called into Shade 45 last week to share the news that she’s been cooking up something with Timbaland plus share how nervous she was to perform at the Superbowl. “I don’t want to say too much because in this day and time, boy, you say something, they will come back two weeks later like, ‘Where your album at?,'” said the “Lose Control” rapper.  It’s been nearly 10 years since Missy released her last album, The Cookbook.

However, as a result of the amazing performance, the multitalented rapper landed on iTunes Top 10 and has seen a serious increase in sales since the show. Missy Misdemeanor has kept busy recording with the likes of Diplo for the upcoming remix of Jack Ü's "Take Ü There." A preview of the remix was posted late last night onto Diplo's Instagram account, so the track should be out anytime now.

Stay tuned with XXL for more details on the reunion of Missy and Timbo and the possible new music that is on the way from the duo.
