Ludacris teamed up with country singer Carrie Underwood for a new video for their collaborative song "The Champion," an uplifting tribute to human perseverance.

The video is laced with clips of both artists singing there verses overlain with historical highlights of strength, such as the Selma to Montgomery March, the destruction of the Berlin Wall and paid tribute to the #MeToo movement.

Ludacris spits his lyrics in an acrostic style—forming the lines from the word "champion."

"C is for the courage I possess through the trauma/H is for the hurt, but it’s all for the honor/A is for my attitude working through the patience/Money comes and goes, so the M is for motivation/Gotta stay consistent, the P is for persevere/The I is for integrity, innovative career/The O is optimistic, open and never shut/ And the N is necessary 'cause I’m never givin’ up," he raps.

Luda has been all about diversifying his catalog recently, and announced that he would be hosting and producing a new Youtube competition series called Best.Cover.Ever which he hopes will open doors for new artists. He is also hosting the MTV reboot of the popular show Fear Factor.
