London on Da Track is looking to close out the summer in a major way. As one of the biggest producers in hip-hop right now, the 26-year-old Atlanta beatsmith has worked with some of the game's top names including Drake, Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Birdman and T.I., plus he has a number of gold and platinum plaques to his name. Now the producer is keeping his name in the conversation with his new song featuring Nicki Minaj, Offset and 21 Savage.

The RCA Records signee released his new single “No Flag” featuring Offset, 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj last week. The track is the first offering from London’s upcoming album, Who Would’ve Known, set to drop later this year. “No Flag” was teased for weeks and when it was dropped, it didn't disappoint fans at all. For London, he wasn't surprised about how well the song was received.

"I knew it was a hit when we first did it," he calmly said to XXL while in New York City. "When [21 Savage] liked the songs that he was going to put on his album and I was like, 'Cool, I’m going to use this one,' and it was history from there."

The song took about a year to make. It was created while London on Da Track and 21 Savage were recording music together in 2016. Offset was added two months ago then Nicki a month after. This was the first time Nicki and London ever worked together.

"Basically I was in the studio with 21 Savage, we did a whole lot of records that specific day but 'No Flag' was one of the records that was incomplete," London says when explaining how the record came to be. "So I felt I like I can do something with it on my own. So I said, 'Let me get this and you get the rest' and he said cool. So I said, I’m going to put a play together. So I put Offset and I put Nicki Minaj on it. First I put Offset on it and then when I met up with Nicki, I was telling her about her situation that she had going on at the time and I was like, ‘We ain’t going offside, we ain’t taking no Ls, we ain’t throwing no flags. This [song] is perfect for you to be able to explain what you’re going through. If you want to go at someone or talk about somebody, this the perfect song to do it on.’ She said I was right."

"Her situation" London was referring to could be Nicki breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill earlier this year or her back-and-forth beef with Remy Ma, which started in February.

When "No Flag" record was released, some fans thought Nicki's verse was directed at new rap star Cardi B but the YMCMB queen quickly shut down those rumors. "It sure ain't Wrote this one a cpl months ago too ,"she wrote in response to a fan's comment shooting down the talk of a beef.

"No Flag" also wasn't the only song that London on Da Track and Nicki Minaj worked on. The super-producer confirmed that he and Nicki have worked on material for her new album. It's been three years since Nicki's last album, The Pinkprint.

Between then and now, the "No Frauds" rapper has been dropping loosies and collaborating with a number of artists. In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 show, Whoolywood Shuffle, Nicki said her fourth album will be her best body of work. With more collaborations between Nicki and London on Da Track, fans should start getting real excited for what's to come.
