Congratulations to Detroit rapper Lizzo, who nabbed her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single with “Truth Hurts.”

According to a story Billboard published on Tuesday (Sept. 3), the anthemic song jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 of the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart this week. Lizzo's ascension to the apex can probably, at least in part, be credited to her dazzling performance at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 26. And some people might say her “Truth Hurts” remix featuring DaBaby also helped Lizzo reach the top spot. Either way, she's there.

In addition to the Hot 100 chart, the song is at the No. 2 on Billboard's Digital Songs Sales chart and No. 4 on the Billboard Streaming Songs chart after garnering 34.4 million U.S. streams within a week-long span. On the Radio Songs chart, “Truth Hurts” is at No. 4 with 98.4 million audience impressions in the week ending Sept. 1.

Lizzo is the first female rapper to nab a solo No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 since Cardi B did so with her get-money anthem "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)," which ruled the chart for three consecutive weeks in October 2017.

On Tuesday, Lizzo jumped on her Instagram account and thanked her fans for making "Truth Hurts" No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart.

"WE’RE NUMBER 1. THIS IS A W FOR ALL OF US," she wrote in the caption accompanied by an image of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "ANYBODY WHO EVER FELT LIKE THEY VOICE WASN’T HEARD. ANYBODY WHO FELT LIKE THEY WEREN’T GOOD ENOUGH. YOU ARE. WE ARE. CHAMPIONS. I LOVE YALL 3 MUCH. LIZZBIANS UNITE 🌈☔️ SCROLL TO SEE MY ANNOYING ASS BLOOD SWEAT N TEARS ⛄️."

Again, congrats to Lizzo on achieving her first No. 1 single. See both Lizzo's IG post about her accomplishment and Cardi B's congrats to her below.
