Last month, 32-year-old Heather Heyer was killed when 20-year-old James Fields drove his grey Dodge Charger into the crowd at a White supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. Several other counter-protesters—those opposing the initial protesters marching to preserve the statue of Confederate Army General, Robert E. Lee—were injured in the attack.

In response to the White supremacist protest and assault in Charlottesville Va. last month, the city's native Dave Matthews Band are hosting a benefit concert called, A Concert for Charlottesville. The event, which will take place at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium on Sun., Sept. 24, will feature the likes of Pharrell and The Roots among several others. It can be livestreamed at Music And Unity Tumblr, HuffPost.com, Aol.com, Yahoo.com, BUILDSeries.com and other social media platforms beginning at 5:55 p.m. EST.

Joining Pharrell and The Roots for the event will be Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Cage the Elephant and special guests. Proceeds for the event will go to victims of the Charlottesville protest, as well as their families, and first responders and organizations dedicated to the promotion of healing.
