Lil Uzi Vert's glo-up continues. On Oct. 13, the former XXL Freshman's debut album Luv Is Rage 2 was certified gold after moving 500,000 equivalent album units.

With hits like "XO Tour Llif3," which has just been certified four times platinum, Luv Is Rage 2 is a perfect blend of Uzi's unique vocals, dynamic production and emotional song writing. The album landed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart after being released on Aug. 25, moving 135,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

Uzi's making big moves and living up to the potential we saw when we named him a 2016 XXL Freshman. His success helped him land on XXL's 20th anniversary issue, and in the interview for the cover story, which was written by XXL's Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Satten, Uzi speaks a little bit about the ups-and-downs of fame

"People get mixed up," he explained. "Fame isn’t bad at all. We all were put here for a purpose. You’re supposed to go out with a bang. You’re supposed to go out remembered. Everybody is important. So, I mean, with the fame, what I really don’t like is, I always feel like I’m getting pressed. Pressed by my fans, that’s the only thing they don’t...You know how they don’t read body language? They don’t read what’s on your face, they don’t see none of that. All they see is you. All they see is my green hair or whatever color hair I got this month. That’s all they see..." he continued.
