Lil Uzi Vert, Chance The Rapper and More React to Philadelphia Eagles Winning 2018 Super Bowl
After sprinting onto the field at Minneapolis, Minn.'s U.S. Bank Stadium to the sounds of Meek Mill's iconic "Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)," Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in a stunning 41-33 2018 Super Bowl victory on Sunday night (Feb. 4).
As should have been predicted regardless of the outcome, rappers had a lot to say after the epic showdown. One of them was Lil Uzi Vert, a Philly area native who made sure to celebrate following the W of his hometown team. "Let’s go Eagles ®," he wrote in a tweet.
Echoing his fellow 2016 XXL Freshman's sentiment, Lil Dicky, who also hails from the greater Philadelphia area, also celebrated the win. "WE JUST WON THE SUPER BOWL," Dicky wrote on Twitter.
Chance The Rapper also took some time to show love to the Eagles, sending a shoutout to Eagles wideout Alshon Jeffery after the game. "Huge congrats to Philly, especially my boy @TheWorldof_AJ You deserve it all. Enjoy this time with your fam, We gotta celebrate when u back in the city yo," Chano wrote in a tweet.
