Lil Skies Releases ‘Life of a Dark Rose’ Mixtape

Lil Skies seemed to come out of nowhere. The Waynesboro, Pa., native had a viral hit with his 2017 single “Red Roses” featuring Landon Cube. The Cole Bennett-directed video for the song gained over 2 million views in the first 10 days of its release, and is now at over 23 million views and climbing on YouTube. With all eyes on him, it's perfect timing to release his new mixtape, Life of a Dark Rose.

The tape features the hit single, "Red Roses," as well as the bangers "Lust," produced by Cashmoney AP, and "Nowadays," which he dropped last month.

It hasn't taken long for the 19-year-old, who has received comparisons to Lil Pump and XXXTentacion, to make waves. His SoundCloud and YouTube numbers continue to prove people want more.

Skies' resume got a boost over the holiday as he was the opening act for Lil Uzi Vert's A Very Uzi Christmas tour, performing in cities like Washington D.C., New York and Philadelphia. He also recently teamed with buzzing South Florida rapper, Wifisfuneral, on the track "LilSkiesFuneral." Things are looking up.
