Lauryn Hill Becomes a Grandmother

Congratulations are in order, as Lauryn Hill and her family welcome a new addition. Lauryn's eldest son Zion's girlfriend gave birth to a son over the weekend, and the baby, Zephaniah, makes the 41-year-old Hill a grandparent.

Though Hill has yet to publicly comment on the life event, Rohan Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, with whom Hill has five children, posted a number of photos to Instagram to commemorate. "JAH BLESSINGS ' WE GIVE THANKS FOR LIFE Welcome to Earth Little ZEPHANIAH NESTA," he wrote.

Zion as well used the social platform to share the news, posting a photo of the newborn baby and profile of his mother. "Another super strong woman in my life right here!" he wrote. "Zephaniah's mother.. Thank you for bearing him and putting up w everything I put you thru.. idk how you do it but you deserve all the love and all the respect.. you are a WARRIOR bringing in little 'Zeph Curry.'"
