Kid Cudi has helped many of his fans through their troubled times over the course of his musical career, but it looks like he's also helped some Hollywood stars.

During an interview with GQ, actor Timothée Chalamet says he went through some tough times while trying to land gigs in Hollywood, but it was Cudi who helped him the most through that period.

After starring in Interstellar in 2014, Chalamet claims that he had a very difficult time getting through auditions and landing gigs for other major films. He became extremely discouraged, and was at a critical point that had him contemplating his future in acting. While attending a concert for the "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper in Montreal, Chalamet went backstage to talk to Cudi, who gave him some important advice.

"At a critical juncture when the walls were closing in, Timothée spent a couple hours with one of his personal gods, Kid Cudi," GQ pens of Chalamet's experience. "Backstage at a show in Montreal, Cudi described his own lows and the single-minded determination that forced him to double down on his efforts to perform his way out of trouble. Timothée excused himself to run home so he could write down everything he'd heard. He keeps the notes on his phone. The takeaway was: Are you, Timothée, the sort of person who can't possibly live any other way? 'Fuck yeah.'"

Since then, Chalamet has gone on to earn major roles in some key films up for awards this year, such as Call Me By Your Name, as well as the award-winning Lady Bird.

Fans have continuously remarked how Kid Cudi's open and honest musical style about his personal struggles have helped them cope with their own. While he has struggled with his mental health over the years, he has provided a lot of hope for his supporters to keep going, making it no surprise that he was able to touch the heart of Timothée Chalamet.
